who is bklyntye?

Welcome and Thank You for checking out my blog, “WHATS THE WORD”.

To get this off to an amazing start I figured I’d tell you a little about myself. So “allow me to (Re)introduce myself, my name is,,,” BKLYNTYE!

Who is BKLYNTYE NYC?

My birth name is Tyree. Although I go by many names, most people call me BKLYNTYE. I am Born and Raised in BROOKLYN! And I represent B-K to the Fullest! I grew up in Bed-Stuy, Do or Die (Bedford-Stuyvesant), as well as Bushwick, East New York (ENY) & Sheepshead Bay which are all in Brooklyn.

As of June 22nd, 2017, I am 40 and Fabulous. Divorced, Single mother of a Wonderful 23yr old (daughter, Miracle). An 18yr old Fashionista (daughter, Essance). A Talented 17yr old, my SonShine (my Only son, Antonyio). A Creative 10yr old who I swear has been here before (daughter, Heavan) and I am the proud GlamMa of a Vibrant 4yr old (granddaughter, Serenity).

Being a Cusp= Gemini/Cancer, I am sociable, expressive, which, at times can make me go from 0-1000 real quick. Yet, I am also loving, sensitive and passionate. I am helpful and a lot of fun to be around. I love networking and connecting people with one another. I am devoted to helping others grow in whatever it is they are passionate about. I stand true to the phrase, “Spread Love, It’s the Brooklyn Way.

PROUD NEW YORKER

I love being from New York. It is common to walk down any random street, at any given time in the 5 boroughs (boros), whether Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Manhattan (The City, NYC) or Staten Island and see a video of some sort, (i.e.: Music/TV/Movie, as examples), being filmed/shot and sometimes you can be a part of the action.

NY is diverse. A lot of what happens here you wouldn’t see anywhere else. There is so much to do here too. A bit expensive than most States to live but if you are Career Driven, have a good paying job with benefits, you can survive. I’ve known folks to move to NY from smaller States and poorer Countries who are actually doing very well. The flip side is, the struggle is real if you don’t make a lot of money or have multiple jobs/incomes. But as they say, “If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere!

WHAT MY READERS CAN EXPECT

  • I’ll be bringing you a lot of what I see when I’m out in these NY streets, as well as regular conversations about any and everything. I will be traveling to different States to interview regular folks, Celebrities and Business owners. I will be keeping you informed about things going on in your community, like places to shop, eat, party and my goal is to help Black Owned Businesses get their brands out.
  • I will also be bringing you reviews on Books to read, music to listen to, hair products, DIY ideas and the crazy things and situations I stumble across while riding the MTA. (NYC Transit-Subway system). (#BTNYCSubwaySeries)
